The story

About Your Little Reminder

This year has been one of the hardest of my life. I lost two people who meant so much to me, and found myself trying to navigate grief while still figuring out how to keep moving forward.

There were days I was searching for hope. Days I needed to remind myself I wasn’t alone in what I was feeling. And there were moments I felt guilty for being happy — like finding joy somehow meant I wasn’t grieving, wasn’t missing the people I’d lost.

Through it all, I realized how much a few simple words can mean at just the right moment. A reminder that it’s okay to not be okay. A reminder that you’re allowed to smile again. A reminder that grief and happiness can exist at the same time. A reminder that you are not alone.

That’s where Your Little Reminder began — but it grew into something bigger than the season that started it. Because life isn’t only made of hard days. It’s hard, unexpected, beautiful, messy, exciting — full of moments we never saw coming.

The free Daily Reminder offers new encouragement on this website and on Facebook and Instagram. The paid Monthly Mail brings that encouragement to the mailbox: a longer Monthly Letter, an affirmation to keep, and a Pass It On card. Monthly and gift subscriptions are now available.
